I felt utterly helpless, knowing that any attempt to legally contest or reduce the arrears would involve a significant burden of legal fees. In my distress, I turned to God in prayer. Following my prayer, I reached out to a lawyer I turned to in the past. I am deeply grateful that through him, God led me to a Christian lawyer at CCM Legal Clinic (Toronto). She served me with such compassion, patience, wisdom, and tireless energy. I couldn\u2019t sleep, couldn\u2019t eat, and lived under constant worry and fear. With four children to raise and aging parents to care for, we couldn\u2019t afford expensive legal fees. My husband tried calling various legal services, but most required hundreds of dollars just for a consultation.<\/p><p>Thank God, a friend told us about CCM\u2019s Legal Aid Centre in Toronto. We reached out, and by God\u2019s grace, Lawyer Chan took our case. She worked tirelessly to help us\u2014organizing documents, sending formal letters, and updating us regularly. Even though my employer seemed indifferent and tried to delay the process, Lawyer Chan stood by us for over a year, never giving up.<br \/>Eventually, we were able to recover part of the compensation we rightfully deserved.
